Anyone who has ever taken care of a terminally ill relative or friend knows euthanasia should not only be a right; it must be an available option. In the modern version of the Hippocratic Oath it is clearly stated: I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon's knife or the chemist's drug.I strongly believe in the right to die not only for people who are physically ill but also for those who are mentally ill. I believe that anyone who reaches the decision that their life is not worth living does not do so lightly and therefore their decision should be respected and a dignified way out should be granted.
